Testimonials

As someone who has only visited a few edit bays in my quest to "get into editing", and while I've met a lot of assistant editors, I really had no idea what to expect when I would eventually get into the field. The Assistant Editors' Bootcamp for Reality TV not only gave me a solid technical foundation of the reason behind what is done in creating reality TV shows but very practical real life examples of what to do on the job. The course covered just about everything you could imagine to run into on the job. The expert staff was extremely helpful and very hands-on addressing any technical questions the class had. I feel this is the perfect class for anyone wanting to get into reality TV assistant editing.

This was the best Avid learning experience I've ever had. I've taken other Avid classes that didn't offer anywhere near the amount of information offered here. The class filled in a lot of gaps I had. I feel like Noah and Conor probably have a lot more knowledge to share, and we could've continued for another week. I'll be signing up for any other classes they offer.

My experience with Avid was limited to hands on work with independent projects. I had an idea of what I was doing, but not necessarily the "why." After taking the AE Bootcamp, I feel much more confident in my understanding of the technical language and tasks required of an assistant editor. Highly recommended.

The AE bootcamp class was incredibly helpful at breaking down the fundamental duties of an assistant editor. Both instructors are extremely knowledgable in their field and very talented at making a complicated subject matter understandable and fun! I would highly recommend this class to both beginners and those more experienced with Avid! Of all the software/tech classes I have ever taken these were two of the best teachers.

This class offers a great overview of video and assistant editor fundamentals and great hands-on experience. It's a great course even for those who have some familiarity with multigrouping and other AE tasks - because it fills in a lot of blanks. The instructors take great care to explain WHY and HOW things work.

I am a Post PA transitioning into an Assistant Editor position soon, and the AE Bootcamp prepared me from a very practical, technical standpoint that gives me the confidence for whatever opportunities are in the future.

-- Pilot Class

As an experienced reality TV editor, this class offered a detailed overview of the technical aspects of post production that I had very little hands on experience with. It was a vital first step as I move toward being an AE in scripted TV.

As a recent film school graduate and LA transplant I found the class to be incredibly informative and clarifying. Learning from approachable working professionals is an invaluable experience. As a recent grad weary of spending money on courses. I can say I felt this course was worth every penny, so much so that I'm considering returning for the advanced course. I want to know how frequently the course is offered so I could recommend it.

This was a very informative class. Noah and Conor followed the reality show offline editing workflow from linking through outputting sequences. There were a lot of helpful hints along the way. No other editing class I've taken covers all the steps of grouping - layout, sync, add-edits, subclips and multipgroups - like this class. I now feel more confident in my abilities to perform all the duties of an assistant editor on a reality show.
